Illinois REALTORS® celebrating
state's Bicentennial with service

Illinois REALTORS® are planning projects across the state — from Rockford and McHenry in the north, throughout Chicagoland, Central and Southern Illinois — including “adopting” a historic home or property in our local REALTOR® association communities as well as downtown Springfield, in the block shared by the Illinois REALTORS® headquarters.

REALTORS® are partnering with local community groups and state and local agencies to identify and develop the projects. The association is a partner with the Illinois Bicentennial Commission, which oversees the state's plans for the milestone birthday.

“Illinois REALTORS®, working with heart in every community” underscores how REALTORS® are leaders in their local communities, supporting local charities and causes, promoting economic development and a strong economy all while helping real estate buyers and sellers achieve the American Dream.

The Illinois REALTORS® Bicentennial Task Force is the organizing committee for this effort.

Working with heart statewide

Illinois REALTORS® has members in more than two dozen local associations working on projects in their communities. Local associations have committed to adopting a historic property in their area, providing funds for needed upgrades and even providing the labor to make these state landmarks stand out for the 200th birthday.

The effort is yet another way Illinois REALTORS® work with heart in local communities.
