Illinois Home Sales Climb 15.9 Percent in September
Illinois sales and median prices showed gains in September, acccording to the latest IAR housing report. Illinois home sales totaled 10,689, a 15.9 percent increase compared to a year ago while the statewide median price increased 2.2 percent to $139,000. Said IAR President Michael D. Oldenettel: “If there is a headline from the first nine months of 2012, it is one of continued market stabilization. The prices, interest rates and consumers’ feelings about the economy are fueling improvements in the housing market.”
