Illinois REALTORS® are collecting supplies and money to help the victims of the devastating series of tornadoes that swept through the state on Sunday. In a show of the Power of R in action, the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) and many local associations are doing their part to help the stricken communities. IAR immediately donated $7,500 in gift cards for the cause and has an application pending approval with the REALTORS® Relief Foundation to join in a coordinated effort. Further details will be forthcoming once the application is approved. Local associations are donating money and collecting water and supplies to send to the storm areas.
NAR is urging REALTORS® to take action and prevent flood insurance issues from undermining real estate sales. Tell Congress that you support the "Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act." Take action now!
