To qualify for an Illinois Real Estate Broker License in the State of Illinois, you must be at least 21 years old, have a high school graduate diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and successfully complete the required coursework and pass the state licensing exam.
The first step to earning a Broker license in Illinois is to complete 90 hours of Pre-License education, which includes a 75-hour Broker Pre-license Topics course and a 15-hour interactive Broker Pre-license Applied Real Estate Principles Interactive course.

Be free from printed materials with eStudy . The 75-hour Broker Pre-License Topics course materials are delivered to you via email. Course materials consist of a pdf study guide and a downloadable e-book. (Please note: the e-book is electronic only and is not designed to be printed. Course materials are delivered within one business day of order during normal business hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri. A 15-Hour Broker Pre-license Applied Real Estate Principles  course must also be completed to satisfy the 90-hour eligibility requirement to take the state exam.)
The self-paced Home Study  course is mailed to you in hard copy satisfies the 75-hour Broker Pre-License Topics requirement. A 15-Hour Broker Pre-license Applied Real Estate Principles  course must also be completed in aclassroom or webinar in order to satisfy the 90-hour eligibility requirement to take the state exam.
The State of Illinois requires a proctored exam for each course. Students may take the proctored exams at the approved proctor location  of their choice. After scheduling the exam with the proctor location, the student should contact llinois REALTORS® at 217-529-2600 to have the exam sent to their preferred proctor location. When you have completed your course, Illinois REALTORS® will enter your completion date enabling you to register for the state exam.The state licensure exam is administered by Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP).

New broker licensees are required to complete 30 hours of post license training prior to their first license renewal.The 15-Hour Broker Post License Topics Home Study Course  combined with the 15-Hour Broker Post License Applied Real Estate Practices Interactive  course will satisfy the requirements. Real estate licensees are required to complete continuing education (CE) during each two-year licensing period. Real Estate Broker Licensees renewal deadline is April 30, 2016. If you were licensed 90 days prior to the renewal deadline you will be issued a license with the renewal deadline of the next cycle thereby allowing you an additional 2 years to complete your CE.
