Join REALTORS® across the country in the nation’s largest open house campaign Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, 2013

For one weekend in April REALTORS® will hold open houses in neighborhoods from coast to coast, bringing value to both buyers and sellers. The event also provides a tremendous opportunity to promote the benefits of homeownership and continue an open dialogue with consumers about the housing issues that matter most to them.

What Can You Do as an Individual REALTOR®?

  • Host an open house or multiple open houses for your listings April 20-21
  • Promote the open houses using event logo
  • Pre-promote the event via mailings, email, word of mouth
  • Use social media to create buzz before and during your event

What Can You Do as Brokerage Firm?

  • Rally widespread interest among their agents, to increase the scope and power of the nationwide open house event
  • Support agents’ efforts with promotional materials, such as hand-out maps of participating open houses
  • Review open house safety with your agents
  • Use social media to create buzz before and during your event

What Are Your National/State REALTOR® Associations Doing?

  • State/national media coverage
  • IAR/NAR social media buzz

Open houses open doors to buying opportunities! So what could be better than a weekend full of open houses, encouraging people to tour homes and learn more about the benefits of home ownership. The Nationwide Open House Weekend offers buyers a stress-free way to visit homes for sale in different neighborhoods where they might want to live.
