Following are recent disciplinary actions taken by the Real Estate Division of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, http://www.idfpr.com/News/Disciplines/DiscReports.asp
 
  • A real estate managing broker license was placed on probation for two years and fined $1,000 for acting for a broker other than his sponsoring broker and engaging in dishonest dealing.
  • A real estate salesperson license was reprimanded and barred from seeking licensure as a real estate broker for a minimum of five years for holding himself out as working for a broker other than his sponsoring broker.
  • A real estate salesperson license was indefinitely suspended for a minimum of one year for her failure to obtain informed written consent from both the buyer and seller in a real estate transaction where she was acting as a dual agent.
