Danville and Quad City REALTORS® Celebrate 100 Years
Congratulations to the Danville Area Board of REALTORS® and the Quad City Area REALTOR® Association on celebrating their 100-year anniversaries. Danville was among five local boards that came together in 1916 to form the state association and Colonel William C. Johnson, of Danville, served as the first president of the state association. Read more and find an early photo of the Quad City association.

Jobless Rate Falls to Nearly Four-Year Low
The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 7.8 percent in September, it's lowest level since January 2009, according to the latest Labor Department data, Reuters reports

Obama Scorecard: Home Equity Improved in 2Q12
Homeowner equity rose $406 billion, or 5.9 percent, in the second quarter of 2012, according to the Obama Administration's September Housing Scorecard (pdf). Equity levels are now at the highest level since the third quarter of 2008. Read more from HousingWire.
