IAR Home Study Options

Study Help

A state-approved instructor is available by phone or e-mail to answer any questions that may arise on course materials.

Final Exams

The State of Illinois requires a proctored exam for each course.

Students may take the proctored exams at the local board of REALTORS® office of their choice.

After completing the course, the student should contact IAR at 217/529-2600 to have the exam sent to their preferred board location.

The Illinois Association of REALTORS® offers a home study option for broker and sales licensing classes. This self study program gives students the flexibility to study at home or the office at their own pace. An outline is designed to guide students through the complete program.

Sales

A home study course is available from the IAR REALTOR® Store. You have twelve months to complete the courses. The course does have an instructor available to answer your questions via telephone or e-mail. To order, visit the IAR Online Pre-License Store, or call 800/529-2696.

Broker

IAR offers 75 hours of home study broker pre-license courses, consisting of the following courses:

Advanced Principles 2000 (15 hrs. mandatory)

Contracts and Conveyancing (15 hrs. mandatory)

Broker Administration (15 hrs. mandatory)

Sales & Brokerage (15 hrs. elective)

Principles Review (15 hrs. elective)
