President
Kay Wirth
Kay Wirth, ABR, CRS, GRI, LTG, PMN, is 2008
President of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®. A
licensed REALTOR® for 22 years and a broker since
1987, Wirth is affiliated with Re/Max Unlimited Northwest in
Crystal Lake. She is a past president of the McHenry County
Association of REALTORS® and was named REALTOR®
of the Year by the McHenry County Association in 1997.
She has been an active participant with the
Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) serving as
president of the McHenry County WCR and the Illinois State WCR.
She also served on the WCR Board of Directors and Leadership
Development System Committee for the National WCR. For the
McHenry County Association of REALTORS®, she served
six years on its Board of Directors and chaired the Nominating
Committee.
On the statewide level, Wirth served as a
Leadership Liaison in 2004 representing the Illinois Association
of REALTORS® (IAR) to seven local REALTOR®
associations in northwestern Illinois. She has served on the IAR
Board of Directors and numerous committees including chair of
the IAR Strategic Planning and Finance committees and chair of
the Statewide Ombudsman and Mediation task forces.
She has served with distinction on IAR’s
Economic Development Working Group, Professional Standards
Committee, Political Advisory Working Group, Public Policy and
Governmental Affairs Member Involvement Group as well as the
Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee Trustees. In
2008, Wirth will chair the IAR Executive and Leadership
committees. She will also serve as chair of IAR’s National
Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Political Advisory
Working Group.
For the National Association of REALTORS®,
Wirth has served on the Sergeant at Arms Committee and the
Federal Housing Policy Committee.
She resides in Crystal Lake with her husband,
Bob, and daughter, Sarah.
President-Elect Pat Callan
REALTOR® Pat Callan of Glen Ellyn
is 2008 President-Elect of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®.
Active in real estate for 36 years, Callan is broker-owner of
Realty Executives Premiere in Wheaton, serving as managing
broker and involved in the sale and leasing of residential and
commercial real estate.
Callan is a past president of the Mainstreet Organization of
REALTORS® (MORe), formerly the REALTOR®
Association of West/South Suburban Chicagoland, and was named
REALTOR® of the Year by the association in 2006. He
has held leadership positions for the local association for over
a decade including chair of the Facility Task Force and
Strategic Planning Task Force. He served as MORe’s
representative to the board of the Multiple Listing Service of
Northern Illinois (MLSNI).
On the statewide level, Callan served as a Leadership Liaison
representing the Illinois Association of REALTORS®
(IAR) to five local REALTOR® associations in
northwestern Illinois in 2005. He has served on the IAR Board of
Directors since 2000, chaired the Strategic Planning Committee
and Business Issues and License Law Working Group and Finance
Committee, and lent his expertise to many IAR committees
including Executive, Real Property Operations and Plaza
Management.
In 2008, Callan serves as chair of the IAR Strategic Planning
Committee as well as vice-chair of the IAR Leadership and
Executive Committees and the NAR Political Advisory Working
Group.
He serves on the National Association of REALTORS®
Multiple Listing Issues and Policies
Committee, the Strategic Investments Reserve Advisory Board, and the NAR Board of Directors.
Callan has been a Certified Public Accountant for the past 34
years and earned his bachelor’s in Business Administration from
the University of Notre Dame. Before joining Realty Executives
Premiere in 1993 he served for 10 years as the Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer for CMD Corporation, a
nationwide industrial and office building developer. He resides
in Glen Ellyn.
Treasurer
Michael Onorato
Michael Onorato, GRI, of Coal City is 2008 Treasurer of the
Illinois Association of REALTORS®. Active in real
estate for 25 years, Onorato is broker-owner of Onorato Real
Estate serving Grundy County and southern Will County.
He is a past president of the Three Rivers Association of
REALTORS®, where he is currently honored as REALTOR®
of the Year. Onorato has been an active participant with the
local association, serving on the Board of Directors for 12
years. He has served on various local committees including the
Nominating, Finance, Professional Standards and Grievance
committees.
On the statewide level, Onorato served as District Five Vice
President representing the Illinois Association of REALTORS®
(IAR) to local REALTOR® associations in northeastern
Illinois. He served on the IAR Board of Directors for four years
and chaired the REALTOR®
Political Action Committee Trustees.
He has lent his expertise to many IAR committees including
Executive, Finance, and Strategic Planning as well as
the Political Fundraising Working Group and Public
Policy/Governmental Affairs Member Involvement Group.
In 2008, Onorato serves as chair of the Finance Committee,
vice-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and a member of
the IAR Leadership Committee, Executive Committee and IAR Plaza,
Inc. He will also serve as treasurer of the Issues Mobilization
Political Action Committee Trustees and on the National
Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Political Advisory
Working Group.
For the National Association of REALTORS®, Onorato
serves as NAR Director as well as a member of the Issues
Mobilization Committee.
Onorato is a graduate of the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. He resides in Coal City.
Robert J. Zoretich is
Immediate Past President of the Illinois Association of
REALTORS®. Zoretich is the broker-owner of The Zoretich
Realty Group, 3756 N. Ashland Avenue in Chicago. A past president of the
Chicago Association of REALTORS®, he was named REALTOR®
of the Year by the Chicago Association in 2003.
He has been an active
leader in the Chicago Association of REALTORS®
for 20 years, serving on its Board of Directors since 1995 and serving
as co-chair of the Chicago association’s REALTOR® Political
Action Committee (RPAC), chair of the Education Foundation and chair of
the Equal Opportunity, Sales Awards and Nominating committees.
Zoretich has been an active participant on many local association
committees including Finance and Professional Standards. He is a member
of the REALTOR® 40 Club, a group of Chicago real estate
leaders who meet to discuss local and national industry issues.
On the statewide
level, Zoretich has
served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®
(IAR) since 2000. He served as a Leadership Liaison representing IAR to
four local REALTOR® associations in the Chicagoland area.
He has
served on many state committees including the Executive, Major Donor,
Professional
Standards, RPAC Trustees, Real Estate Educational Foundation and treasurer of the Issues
Mobilization Political Action Committee.
Zoretich chaired the Illinois Association of REALTORS®
Leadership Committee, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Strategic
Planning Committee, Bylaws Working Group, the Board of Directors and the NAR Political
Advisory Working Group. He also served on NAR's
State
and Local Issues Committee and Public Policy Coordinating Committee.
Among his 2008 assignments, Zoretich will serve on the IAR Advisory
Council, IAR Plaza, Inc., the Executive, Leadership and Strategic Planning
committees, as well as the Economic Development,
Federal Political Coordinators, and NAR Political Advisory working
groups. For the National Association of REALTORS®, Zoretich will serve on
the Issues Mobilization Committee and Public Policy Coordinating
Committee.
In the international arena, he received an
award in 2001 from the Warsaw Real Estate Association for his work to
help the Polish organization advance its real estate principles and
practices. He is a member of FIABCI, an international real estate
organization, and is president of the local FIABCI council.
Active
in his local community, Zoretich is a member of the Chicagoland Chamber
of Commerce and the Lake View Chamber of Commerce
as well as a volunteer for youth recreation programs. His involvement in the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars
spans 25 years. He is a graduate of
DePaul University where he excelled as a student and basketball player
for the DePaul Blue Demons and was inducted into the DePaul Hall of Fame
in 2001. Zoretich resides in Chicago with his wife, Terry.
