With Illinois' Firearm Concealed Carry Act in effect, IAR's Concealed Carry Task Force came up with some sample policies that might be adopted by member offices if they so choose. IAR members can click here to download a Concealed Carry Model Office Policy (#352) and Concealed Carry Residential Property Owner Release Form (#354) from the IAR website. It is important to note that these policies are not required but are being made available for those members who might wish to use them. (Note: You must be a member and logged in to view and download the new forms.)

U.S. Pending Home Sales Steady in January

The Pending Home Sales Index was essentially unchanged in January compared to the month before, NAR reports.  Pending sales declined in the Midwest and the West while the South and Northeast saw monthly increases. NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said while sales are expected to be weak in the first quarter of 2014, the pace should pick up in the middle part of the year.

REEF Academic Scholarship Deadline is April 1

Applications for the Real Estate Educational Foundation's (REEF) Academic scholarships must be submitted by April 1, 2014. Visit the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Real Estate Broker Renewal website to submit your renewal application. Remember you will need the unique PIN number that was included on your yellow renewal postcard in order to complete your renewal.
