Governor Signs Changes to Real Estate License Act into Law

On Friday, Gov. Pat Quinn signed SB 1655 which clarifies and cleans up portions of the Real Estate License Act, including a provision allowing a person holding a managing broker's license to "step back" to a broker's license. IAR is working with officials from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to provide more guidance for members related to this license law clarification. Stay tuned.
