April 30, 2018 is the deadline for Illinois Broker License Renewal.

First Renewal? [Brokers licensed on or after February 1, 2016]

Brokers licensed on or after February 1, 2016 need to complete 30 hours of post-license education for their first renewal.

These courses must include Broker Post-License Topics and Broker Post-License Applied Real Estate Practices.

Second or Subsequent Biennial Renewal? [Brokers licensed prior to February 1, 2016]

Brokers who were licensed before February 1, 2016 and are completing their standard biennial renewal need to complete 12 hours of CE, which must include 3 hours Core A, 3 hours Core B, and a maximum of 6 hours Elective. Credit hours cannot be used twice in the same renewal cycle. To look up CE courses you have taken through Illinois REALTORS®, use our CE Lookup

Just licensed? [Brokers who were first licensed on or after February 1, 2018]

You do not need to renew in 2016 and no CE is required during this renewal cycle. Your requirement of 30 hours of Broker Post-license coursework will be due by April 30, 2020.
