REALTOR® Michael D. Oldenettel, CRS, GRI, of Jacksonville is the 2012 President-Elect of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®. Active in real estate for 22 years, Oldenettel is the Managing Broker-Owner of RE/MAX Results Plus, Inc. in Jacksonville.
He is a two-term past president of the Jacksonville Area Association of REALTORS® leading the association in 1995 and again in 2005. He has a long history of participation with the local association, serving on the board of directors and as chair of the Finance/Personnel, Legislative Affairs, Program/Education and Public Relations committees.
On the statewide level, Oldenettel has chaired the Illinois Association of REALTORS® Finance Committee, Professional Development Member Involvement Group and twice chaired the Convention and Inaugural Banquet Working Group. He has lent his expertise to many IAR committees including Strategic Planning, Executive, REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee, Grievance and Professional Standards. Oldenettel has also served on the Education, Business Issues/License Law working groups.
Oldenettel served as president of the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation in 2007 and 2008 as well as twice served as dean of the REALTOR® Institute Working Group. He is also an Illinois licensed continuing education instructor.
In 2012, Oldenettel will serve as chair of the IAR Strategic Planning Committee and as vice-chair of the Leadership and Executive Committees and NAR Political Advisory Working Group.
For the National Association of REALTORS®, Oldenettel has served as a member of the Equal Opportunity-Cultural Diversity Committee and currently serves on the Risk Management Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors.
Oldenettel is active in his local community, serving on the board of directors of the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce, as an advisory board member of the Salvation Army, a youth coach with the Jacksonville Soccer Club and as a past president of the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club. He also is a diver with the Jacksonville/Morgan County Underwater Search and Rescue Dive Team.
