REALTOR® REALTOR® Phil Chiles, ABR, CRS, GRI of Springfield is Treasurer of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®.  He is a Broker-Associate with the Real Estate Group in Springfield.

A past president of the Capital Area Association of REALTORS® he has served his local association on numerous committees including leading its Executive Committee, Community Service, Multiple Listing Service and REALTOR®/Developer Committee.

On a statewide level for the Illinois Association of REALTORS®, Chiles has served as chairman of the Public Policy and Government Affairs Member Involvement Group and as a member of the Strategic Planning and Executive Committees, REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee, GSE Reform Task Force and Education Rules Task Force. He achieved an IAR Presidential Medallion for his contributions to the State Association in 2008.  Chiles is a National Association of REALTORS® Federal Political Coordinator Team Member for Congressman Aaron Schock.

He has attained the designations as Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI).

In 2012, Chiles will serve as chair of the IAR Finance Committee, vice-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and as a member of the IAR Leadership and Executive Committees.

On a national level, Chiles serves on the NAR Board of Directors and is a member of the State and Local Issues Committee.

On the community level he is very active in Habitat for Humanity and has participated in the construction of more than a dozen Habitat builds including trips leading Illinois REALTORS® in helping to rebuild Hurricane Katrina-damaged areas in Mobile, Alabama, coastal Mississippi and New Orleans.

Chiles is a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a Capital Township Trustee and has served as a commissioner for the Sangamon County Historic Preservation Committee and as a board member for Contact Ministries. He is the co-owner of Levi Home Construction.
