I make a lot of phone calls to Managing Broker/DRs as part of the Illinois REALTORS® Outreach Team; I may have even left you a message and sent you an email. We exchange pleasantries and I explain that we’re reaching out to schedule an outreach presentation for your office. The most common question at this point is “What is an office presentation?”
Two years ago, the Illinois REALTORS® created the Outreach Team. Made up of a few of the Local Government Affairs Directors, our goal is to personally connect with as many DRs and REALTOR® members as possible. REALTORS® are busy, receive too many emails and are laser focused on the bottom line. One of the best ways to forge that personal connection is through a presentation at an office meeting. In the last two years we’ve presented at hundreds of offices, reaching thousands of REALTORS®.
So, what is an office presentation? In about 10 minutes we will introduce members to tangible services, provide an update on government issues that threaten our businesses and engage your team with advocacy tools that help protect homeownership and the industry. I’m fairly confident we’ll even convince a few folks to invest in RPAC for the first time.
I’ve definitely walked into some offices full of skeptics.
